Tubes

As the name suggests, an inner tube sits inside your tyre and is inflated with air to provide your wheels’ essential shock-absorption abilities. While most modern MTB wheels now have the capability to be run tubeless, many riders still use inner tubes. Because of their nature they are among the bike components you will need to replace most often, and it’s always good to have some spares at home. When replacing your inner tube you will need to know the size and the valve type – city and MTB tubes often use car-style Schrader valves, while road bikes typically use narrower-diameter Presta valves.
