Love to ride?
Super Cross! Any questions? Really lightweight, super strong and extremely stiff! With its Ballistec Hi-Mod carbon construction and the SAVE-stays the SuperX is lighter than most road bikes, the STW-value unbeatable and smoother than a belgian beer. Nothing accelerates faster, will curve closer and is easier to shoulder than the SuperX. The ultimate racing weapon for those who love the fight in mud, sand and legendary frozen dirt. Ballistec Hi-Mod Carbon is a high-strength fiber developed for Ballistic armor and high-impact resins that build remarkable strength and extreme light weight into this frameset. A special Hi-Mod-Synapse-Carbon layup which means continuous High- und Ultra-High-Modulus-Fibers along the upper tube and the seat stays allow an distribution of load peaks all over the frame structure. The frame also offers SPEED SAVE MicroSuspension. Borrowing principles from F1 racing where suspension is more for traction than comfort, the Speed SAVE stays allow for a bit of vertical flex to help keep the wheel on the ground. The compliance comes from a flattened central section on the chainstays and seatstays. Cannondale says the result is better traction and power transfer on rough courses, and it may make it one of the more comfortable race bikes out there. The oversized Tapered head tube takes a 1 1/8" - 1 1/4" full carbon fork on what makes the best mix of high lateral- and torsional- rigidity at low weight. At the center of the power transmission the frame features a BB3 bottom bracket. The oversized spindle certainly has stiffness advantages. Just to summarize all it can be said: Cannondale took its proven BallisTec Carbon construction and tweaked the geometry for a superior cross-specific ride and the perfect all-terrain road bike. Along with the gorgeous, great-handling carbon frame and carbon fork, you get a tough Stans Grail Disc wheelset and a precision-shifting SRAM Force CX1 1x11-speed drivetrain with light, stiff HollowGram Si cranks and powerful SRAM Force disc brakes.
