The best all-around road racing machine on earth! Here comes the all new SuperSix with tuned balance of stiffness to flex, improved aerodynamics, yet lighter weight. The former incredible handling stays on with nearly no geometry changes but now it's 2 % more compliant and can accept 28C tires for even more comfort. Hi-Mod Ballistec Carbon Ballistec Carbon is a high-strength fiber developed for Ballistic armor and high-impact resins that build remarkable strength and extreme light weight into this frameset. A special Hi-Mod-Carbon layup which means continuous High- und Ultra-High-Modulus-Fibers along the upper tube and the seat stays allow an distribution of load peaks all over the frame structure. Stiffness Many changes were made to improve the already high stiffness values of the SuperSix Evo. For 8.8 % increased BB stiffness, the seat tube flares to a dramatically wide, ovalized section where it meets the new 73 mm wide bottom bracket shell. The completely reworked chainstay were now asymmetrically oversized. 2.2 % more headtube stiffness was made to work and harmonize with stiffer BB and fork. The radical new fork design achieved 6.1 % better lateral stiffness. So it combines better side stiffness with improved compliance, for incredible handling. Compliance The new Hi-Mod EVO is 2 % more compliant. That was done with completely re-engineered SPEED SAVE stays. An all new, lightweight Cannondale SAVE 25.4 mm seatpost in combination with a directional seat tube carbon layup. SPEED SAVE Micro-Suspension is a two-zone system. Zone 1, the rear triangle and fork, are focused on chassis dynamics. They allow the wheels to better track the ground for improved cornering, traction and comfort, and they function whether the rider is seated or standing. Zone 2 is made up of the seatpost and seat-tube and is focused solely on adding comfort when seated. With a new, smaller diameter post and and re-engineered seat tube, the new EVO offers a silky smooth ride, even after hours in the saddle. Aerodynamics The down tube, seat tube, fork blades and upper seat stays of frame get TAP (Truncated Aero Profile) tube shapes for improved aerodynamics. So the new EVO saves approximately 7 grams of drag or 6 watts vs the old EVO. System Weight Frame, fork, headset and seatpost together shave off over 7 grams. Cannondales System Integration philosophy at work. Fork The all new Evo fork is a radical one-piece BallisTec carbon construction. It got continuous uncut carbon from tip of dropouts to top of steerer. The 1-1/8" to 1-1/4" tapered steerer comes with in-molded crown race. 29grams were safed while increase the lateral stiffness by 6.1 % and improve the compliance by 12.5 %. It's tuned to work as a system with the rear triangle. SRAM eTAP This version used the first wireless drivetrain group. Featuring SRAM's advanced shift logic (right lever makes it harder, left lever makes it easier, both levers to change the front ring) with SRAM RED eTap you'll shift more, with less effort and spend less time doing it. Shifting has never been more intuitive or as easy as this.And SRAM RED eTap is engineered to go the distance.
