Ultra lightweight Ballistec Carbon Frame - By using the same Ballistec carbon technology, as in the award-winning SuperSix EVO, the frame and fork occupied the top in this class. A triathlon bike that climbs better and accelerates faster than most other road bikes. AERO SAVE Micro-Suspension System - An elegant combination of directional tube shaping and sophisticated carbon lay-up, which allows the rear chain stays and seat stays to deflect together vertically, so the bike absorbs the shock, not you. Stay aero longer and finish faster. Right Triathlon Geometry - A realistic geometry for real triathletes. Based on thousands of measurement data from the Cannondale bikefit Gurus, the geometry for the new slice was determined. For best stability, handling and control, the result is a rider central but still aerodynamic position. Functional adjustment - Finding the right seating position for comfort, aerodynamics and power transfer is often the biggest challenge for triathletes. The new slice has a steep steering angle and short cranks and a deep front. The results are an open angle of the hip, more power transfer and a better transition for racing. TAP Tubes - The TAP (Truncated aeroprofiles) shape of the tubes provide the slice the best mix of aerodynamics, more efficient stiffness and feather-light weight. This is no comparison to the compromises that must be made at former Aero-tubes. The lateral surface for crosswind is also smaller and lighter so it is fast despite difficult conditions. Wind tunnel channel - The seat tube guides the air flow directly over the rear wheel. The wind tunnel canal behind the seat tube reduces the pressure resistance of the air that builds up between the rotating wheel and the frame. User-Friendly Design - Direct Mount Shimano brakes, normal stem, easy cable routing and vertical dropouts make it easy to pack, prepare and adjust the Slice. Thus, nerves and time before the race can be saved. The new slice is compatible with mechanical and electronical shifting - battery storage is in the frame. Narrow is Aero - The 8 mm wide seat stays, a 1 1/8" headset and a blade-shaped, 18 mm wide seatpost provide a extremely narrow frontal view and thus reduce drag. Two-Position Seatpost - This special post offers the possibility of setting the seat angle depending on the application - 73-78 degrees - for triathlon or UCI competition.
