Fatbike with racing soul! A full-traction, multi-terrain adventure vehicle with super fat tires, low Q-factor and the one of the best fat suspension forks on the market. The FatCAAD is a more nimble, agile, high performance approach to fat biking. Fat bikes don't have to be slow and cumbersome, the Fat CAAD was made to rip no matter what the season. Thanks to the Si cranksets and offset spiders, Cannondale is able to keep the chainstays to just 456 mm for surprisingly agile handling, even with room for big 4.8" tires. Cannondale tweaked all the angles and infused from their XC learning to create a super nimble, speed craving machine. Cannondale's CAAD heritage shines again in the SmartFormed frame of the Fat CAAD. Incredibly light, stiff and smooth riding, the Fat CAAD is a testament to Cannondale's decades of aluminum crafting expertise. In the world of fat biking there is likely no more ideal fork than the Lefty. The Lefty Olaf is has unmatched stiffness and control to keep the big meat pointed exactly where you want it. Olaf's wider clamps and inset axle offer the largest tire clearance of any fork and its fat-specific airspring curve works wonders with those pillowy tires. 1 mm travel. With their huge, grippy contact patch and heavy rotational mass, fat bike tires don't really like to turn, especially at slower speeds. To overcome that tendency, most fatbikes have pretty steep head angles, which works, but also can make the bikes more nervous and twitchy at speed. Fat CAAD takes a totally different approach. The Fat CAAD1 features a relatively slack head angle for high speed stability and pairs it with a fork that has up to 15 mm more rake (offset) than other forks, to reduce the "trail" measurement for exceptional slow-speed agility. Thanks to the System Integrated components, the Fat CAAD has the lowest Q-Factor in the game (198 mm for 1x, 24 mm for 2x), which is up to 2.5cm narrower than other 4.8" tire compatible bikes! The 12 mm BB3XL bottom bracket and custom offset chainrings on the Si cranksets allow them to move the crankarms further in without affecting chain clearance, so it feels like riding a bike, not a horse. SRAM X1 11-speed shifting components underline the standards of this bike, provide a wide gear range and guarantee highest precision and durability. The stiff Cannondale Si crankset in connection with the BB3XL bottom bracket does not waste a single watt. Strong hydraulic SRAM Guide disc brakes enable a powerful and save brake performance in all conditions. A solid wheelset with Sun Ringle MuleFut rims forgives even tough line choices and are prepared for tubeless setup.
