A cycling base layer is designed to regulate your temperature. During the colder months a thermal base layer will trap an insulating layer of warm air next to your skin. A summer base layer will help protect you from UV damage and will wick moisture away from your skin to the surface of the material where it can evaporate, helping to keep you dry and comfortable. Base layers are designed to be worn in combination with other garments as part of a multi-layered clothing system so that you’re protected from whatever conditions you encounter. You can choose from long- or short-sleeved base layers.
